FAQ - NOTES

Q1: Is it possible for the Date and Time to not be moved when making changes to a note?
Q2: Is there a way to search or find a phrase in notes?

A1:
The problem is this is the way that most users prefer the system to operate since changing a note essentially makes the note that new date.  I suggest that it is better to not change an existing note but to add a new one. You then will not have this problem. You also have the option of sorting by the date the note(s) were originally created by clicking at the top of the Note Date column.

A2:
Go to Reports, Select Other Reports and then select the Notes Listing. Use a query and create the query using the Notes Table and the NoteText field, use the Like operator and in the value field enter %phrase% (where “Phrase” is the phrase you are looking for).  The query will find any note that the phrase appears in and show the note on the report.
