GBS, Inc. gives you the choice of upgrading the AGENCY EXPERT to a more robust “backend” or “Database engine” withe the purchase of the MSDE ($495) or SQL ($995) “Backends” with your AGENCY EXPERT System. While the Standard Access “Backend” will no doubt be more than adequate for the vast majority of agencies due to the three-tier structure of AGENCY EXPERT and the fact that AGENCY EXPERT has been developed using the most up-to-date tools within Microsoft’s Vusual Basic language, going with MSDE or SQL will give large agencies a greater amount of performance if/when their database were to reach mammoth proportions.
While many agencies may not have the need to start with a more robust backend, if nothing else, rest assured that if/when the need were to arise, GBS, Inc. and AGENCY EXPERT will be there for you with the tools and the upgradable software solutions to grow when you need to grow. The MSDE and SQL “Backends” assure you that “safe guard.” You will NEVER out-grow AGENCY EXPERT.
NOTE: The current 32 Bit Agency Expert version does not support 64 Bit SQL Server. The .NET version that will be released in 2009 will support 64 Bit SQL Server (2005 and 2008)
